When I was in Toronto last New Year’s, I picked up this interesting little book. I have known for a long time that I am a highly sensitive person, but this book definitely opened my eyes to the ways that it affects my life. For instance, I didn’t know it was linked to mental health issues and high self-standards (which I have). I like that this book gives you permission to just be yourself and treat yourself like a delicate soul without making apologies. There are also some really helpful suggestions for self-care, such as curling up next to a fire and being creative. I underlined many passages that I will continue to refer to. A hugely helpful book for sensitive people.
